Lo
Background
My love of fitness began at an early age of 7 (1979) when I started Gymnastics and Dance. I continued to dance to the age of 19. I attended my first step class while I was in college and continued to attend classes and do weight training on my own. After college, I decided to get my first group fitness certification and have been teaching classes since then. Fitness has evolved over the years and have tried to stay up to date with the latest studies in exercise.
Philosophies
Through my years of being in the fitness industry and working with several individuals, I have a philosophy that everyone is different when it comes to exercise. I can not have the same training routine for every individual. I want to make my clients training routines specific to their likes, dislikes (to some extent), limitations and goals. I want them to want to do this routine and enjoy it.
Group Fitness
I love to teach all types of classes. The group fitness classes I specialize in right now are Buti yoga, Barre, Barre Suspend (TRX)Yin Yoga, Tabata training, and interval training.
Personal Training
My personal training style is specific to each individual. There are a couple of staples I do incorporate into all my clients routines.
Functional Training, which means everyday activities, i.e.: sitting down getting up, stepping up, and being able to push your own body weight.
Balance training, one thing we lose as we get older is our balance and once we realize this we then lose confidence, so I incorporate balancing in the routines to build that confidence back up.
Cardiovascular Training, this doesn't mean I put you on a treadmill for an hour. In my opinion the best cardiovascular training is interval training, which means getting your heart rate up for short periods of time and then letting it recover.
